Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and CouplePower (“CouplePower”, “we”, “us”) that governs your use of our mobile app, our website at couplepower.app, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CouplePower helps two partners stay connected through mood check-ins, shared goals, notes, date and gift ideas, and an AI companion (“Cora”) that suggests small acts of care. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove parts of the Service over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You can sign in with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and device secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Connecting with a partner
The Service is built for two linked partners. When you connect using an invitation, certain content you choose to share becomes visible to your partner. Only link with someone who consents to participate, and treat shared content with respect.
5. AI features and important limitations
Cora provides general, supportive ideas to help your relationship. It is not professional advice — not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice — and is not a substitute for professional help. Suggestions are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable; use your judgment.
Our AI is designed to avoid disclosing a partner’s specific personal information, but we do not guarantee it will never do so. If you or your partner are experiencing abuse, a crisis, or thoughts of self-harm, please contact a trusted person or your local emergency or crisis services immediately.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to harass, abuse, harm, or coerce anyone, including your partner;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data, or any non-public part of the Service;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
- scrape, copy, or build competing products from the Service or its content;
- submit content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as notes, moods, and messages). You grant CouplePower a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, personalize, and improve the Service (including generating suggestions), consistent with our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the rights to share it.
8. Subscriptions and payments
Some features may require a paid subscription in the future. Prices and terms will be presented before purchase and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. Subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled; manage or cancel them in your store account. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, Apple, Google, and our infrastructure and AI providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your content), is owned by CouplePower or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that suggestions will achieve any particular outcome.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CouplePower and its officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CouplePower harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where CouplePower is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Where permitted, disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, and you and CouplePower waive any right to a class action. Nothing limits rights you have under mandatory local consumer law.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and CouplePower regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
